In 2021 Germany elected a new parliament, bringing to an end 16 years of Christian Democratic government under Angela Merkel. For the first time since Gerhard Schröder's chancellorship, the Greens returned to government responsibility, and with them the expectation of a significant shift to the left in federal politics. How has the current realpolitik in the military, energy and economy developed since the elections? How does this affect the German society and culture? And last but not least, what does it mean for German-Hungarian relations?
The panel will be moderated by Bence Bauer, Director of the German-Hungarian Institute at MCC.
